Main causes of hemorrhoids
Chronic Constipation: Due to the thickening of the stool, excessive pressure is exerted on the anus during defecation. This is the most important cause of hemorrhoids.
Sitting for a long time to defecate: Sitting on the toilet for a long time causes blood to pool in the veins of the anus and cause them to swell.
Lack of fiber-rich food: When fruits, vegetables, and grains are reduced in the diet, the stool becomes thicker and causes constipation.
Pregnancy: As the uterus enlarges, pressure increases on the veins in the anus. Therefore, hemorrhoids are very common in pregnant women.
Obesity: Obesity increases pressure on the abdomen and anus.
Heredity: If parents in the family have this problem, the risk of developing it is higher.
Lifestyle: Lack of exercise and working in a sedentary position for long periods of time can also be causes.
