Reasons for Stomach Cancer

Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection: One of the most important causes of stomach cancer is infection with this bacteria. This causes inflammation in the stomach for a long time, which can lead to cancer.

Dietary habits:

Excessive consumption of salty foods, dried fish, and pickles.

Processed meat.

A diet low in fruits and vegetables.

 

Lifestyle:

Smoking: Smokers are more likely to develop stomach cancer.

Excessive alcohol consumption.

Not treating peptic ulcers: Leaving stomach ulcers untreated for a long time can lead to cancer.

Genetic factors (Family History): If someone in the family has had this disease, others are slightly more likely to develop it.

Age and gender: The risk of developing the disease increases with age (especially over 50 years of age). It is more common in men than in women.

Other diseases: It is dangerous to ignore stomach polyps and chronic gastritis.
