Main causes of migraine
Genetic factors: If there is a migraine in the family (mother or father), the risk of it in children is also very high.
Hormonal changes: Changes in the estrogen hormone in women can cause migraines. This can be more felt in the days before menstruation and during pregnancy.
Food and drinks:
Chocolate, cheese, foods containing preservatives (MSG).
Excessive use of caffeine or when stopping it suddenly.
Alcohol consumption (especially wine).
Changes in sleep: Not getting enough sleep, sleeping too much, or having irregular sleep patterns are major triggers.
Stress: Office workload or other mental stress can cause changes in the chemicals in the brain and cause migraines.
Sensory sensations:
Strong sunlight or bright light.
Strong odors (perfumes, smoke, paint fumes).
Loud noises.
Weather changes: Sudden changes in atmospheric pressure, heat, and humidity.
