Reasons for tingling/numbness in hands

Nerve Compression:

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome: Tingling and numbness in the fingers is caused by compression of the main nerve in the wrist. This is common in people who use computers a lot.

Cervical Spondylosis: If the vertebrae in the neck wear out or the disc is damaged, it can affect the nerves to the hands and cause tingling.

Vitamin Deficiency: Deficiency of Vitamin B12, B6, and E affects the functioning of the nerves and causes tingling in the hands and feet.

Diabetic Neuropathy: Uncontrolled increase in blood sugar levels can damage the nerves (peripheral neuropathy). This can cause tingling in the hands and feet.

Circulatory Problems: Reduced blood flow to the hands can cause tingling. Excessive cold and smoking can affect blood vessels.

Wrong sleeping/sitting position: Sleeping with your head under your arms or keeping your arms in the same position for a long time can temporarily reduce blood flow to the nerves and cause numbness.

Other health problems: Thyroid problems, alcoholism, and side effects of some medications can also cause numbness.
