Obesity: Obesity, especially abdominal fat, interferes with the function of insulin (Insulin Resistance).

Lifestyle: Lack of exercise, prolonged sitting, and a sedentary lifestyle are the main causes of diabetes.

Dietary habits: Excessive consumption of sweets, starchy foods, bakery products, and soft drinks.

Stress: Excessive stress can cause hormonal changes in the body and increase blood sugar levels.

Other diseases: Some medical conditions and long-term use of drugs such as steroids can lead to diabetes.
