1. Primary Headaches
These are those that directly cause the headache itself, and there are no other serious diseases behind it.
Tension Headache: This is the most common. It is caused by mental stress, excessive anxiety, and tightness in the muscles of the head and neck. It feels like a band is tied around the head.
Migraine: Intense pain felt on only one side of the head. Symptoms include nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light/sound.
Cluster Headache: Intense pain felt around the eyes.
2. Secondary Headaches
This is a headache that occurs as a symptom of another disease in the body.
Dehydration: A decrease in the amount of water in the body can cause headaches.
Eye problems: Eye strain can cause pain when looking at screens for a long time.
Lack of sleep: Not getting enough sleep can cause headaches.
Sinusitis: When the sinuses in the face become infected or swollen, you will feel pain in the cheeks and forehead.
Excessive caffeine use: Some people get headaches when they stop drinking too much coffee or tea.
High blood pressure (High BP): High blood pressure can manifest as headaches in some people.
