Tingling, pain, and numbness in the hands – main causes

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome:

This problem occurs when there is pressure on the median nerve, which passes through a small passage in the wrist. This can be caused by prolonged computer typing, smartphone use, sewing work, etc.

Cervical Spondylosis:

Due to wear and tear on the spine in the neck, the nerves that go from the spine to the hands come under pressure. This can cause pain and numbness starting from the neck and spreading to the hands.

Vitamin Deficiency:

Deficiency of vitamins B12, B6, and B1 in particular affects the functioning of the nerves and causes tingling.

Diabetes (Diabetic Neuropathy):

Prolonged uncontrolled blood sugar levels can harm the nerves in the body. This causes numbness in the hands and feet.

Incorrect sitting/sleeping:

Sleeping or sitting with your hands in the same position for a long time can reduce blood flow and cause temporary numbness.
